Danny is a 23 year old German-American independent photojournalist earning a Masters of Arts degree in the Photojournalism track from the School of Visual Communication in Ohio University's Scripps College of Communication. He holds a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts for Photography and Imaging. While there, he worked for three years and took on 59 assignments at the student paper, Washington Square News as their Senior Staff Photographer and as a photo editor. His photojournalism is driven by his unrelenting interest in humanitarian issues caused by geopolitical conflicts and natural disasters, domestic and international politics, and our planet's climate that shapes the society we live in. In late 2025 he participated in Domestic Hostile Environment and First Aid Training (D-HEFAT) and is certified in trauma first aid and hostile environment preparedness. So far he has traveled to 32 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. When not behind the camera, Danny is a huge outdoor enthusiast pursuing running, road cycling, rock climbing, snowboarding, and skateboarding.
