As soon as one New York Police Department Strategic Response Group officer initiated the arrest, four more followed in pursuit to try and pin the counter protester to the ground. Later that day I learned that the farthest back New York Police Department officer with no hat put the counter protester in an illegal chokehold move that has been outlawed from being used since Eric Garner's death in 2014.
